Create Punch Through Text Images in Affinity Photo V2
To create punch-through text images in Affinity Photo v2, follow these steps:
- Open Affinity Photo v2 and create a new document by selecting File > New.
- Select the Text Tool from the toolbar on the left-hand side.
- Choose your font and font size from the toolbar at the top of the screen.
- Click on the document where you want to add your text and type in your desired text.
- Once you have typed your text, select the Move Tool from the toolbar.
- Hold down the Control key (Windows) or Command key (Mac) and click on the text layer in the Layers panel. This will select the text.
- With the text still selected, click on the Layer menu at the top of the screen and select Rasterize.
- Next, select the Erase Brush Tool from the toolbar.
- In the context toolbar at the top of the screen, choose the brush size you want to use to erase parts of the text.
- Use the Erase Brush Tool to erase parts of the text where you want the background to show through.
- Once you have erased the parts of the text you want, select the Move Tool again and adjust the position of your text as desired.
- Save your finished punch-through text image by selecting File > Save or File > Export.
That’s it! You have successfully created a punch-through text image in Affinity Photo v2.
